About Us

Judo Club UTRIP Maribor – Judo for All was born from a genuine desire to create an environment where every individual is accepted, respected, and seen. We believe that judo is much more than a sport – it is a path of personal growth, learning, persistence, self-confidence, and mutual respect.

Our coaches, with professional expertise and a wholehearted approach, enable every individual to progress according to their abilities, interests, and goals. With us, everyone has their place – regardless of age, prior experience, or sporting ambitions.

In our club we create a space for the youngest preschool children, children, youth, and adults. For those who approach judo recreationally, we offer a pleasant and encouraging environment for movement, socializing, and personal development; for those who want competitive judo, we provide systematic training, further development, and participation in competitions.

We introduce the youngest to movement, coordination, and the first basics of judo through play. Older judokas build on their knowledge and physical abilities, set new goals, and work together with their coaches to find paths to progress.

Inclusion – the involvement of people with special needs – holds a special place in our work. We actively strive to create an environment in which judokas with special needs connect with peers without disabilities.

We achieve this through joint training sessions, club events, social gatherings, and other shared activities, where sport builds genuine relationships, mutual understanding, respect, and acceptance of difference.

We believe that inclusion is not just enabling participation, but creating an environment in which everyone can feel like an important and equal part of the community.

Judo Club UTRIP Maribor is therefore not just a place for sports training. It is a place where stories of courage, persistence, progress, friendship, and belonging are made.

Through our work we want to show that even small steps can create big changes. Through judo we bring people together, break down prejudice, and contribute to a more inclusive, understanding, and connected society.
